Let’s face it: building a business doesn’t come easy, and it certainly doesn’t happen over night.

A lot of people experience frustration in network marketing because they join with unrealistic expectations of how much time and how much effort it will take to reach their business goals… 

Ray Higdon says frustration happens when there is a gap between where you are and where you think you should be. So if you come into this business expecting to just skyrocket to the top… and then you don’t… that’s when frustration and doubt set it. 

The best thing you can do for yourself and your business is to temper your expectations from the very beginning: 

You will be told no. A lot. 

People will tell you they’ll join or buy. Then they won’t. 

People will join. Then quit. 

It’s all part of the process… and it’s all a numbers game.

When you engage someone in conversation, are you out to ‘get’ them or are you out to help them? 

You should never look at people as someone you can “get”… but rather, look at what you have to offer as a gift to give. When you start focusing on impact over profit, and reaching out to people with the genuine desire to get to know and connect with them, everything will change.

Being Authentically Attractive While Network Marketing Prospecting

If you want to grow your business and have influence with your audience, it’s important to present yourself in an authentic and attractive way… both in real life and on social media. 

People don’t just join businesses. They join people! And when people are thinking of buying or joining your team, they are looking straight at you and determining if you’re someone they’d like to support and align with. 

So how to show up authentically and attractively on Facebook? 

Make sure your profile is set up professionally, with a real photo of yourself as the profile picture. 

Give value and avoid spammy, salesy posts, and copy/paste messages. 

Show up as the person whose posts people WANT to see in their newsfeed!

The Golden Rule of Network Marketing Prospecting

When it comes to prospecting in network marketing, facts tell but stories sell. 

Become an expert story teller… and by that I mean, commit to becoming really good at collecting and sharing stories with your prospects and team. 

Rather than spilling all the facts about your products or business, think of the benefits that would appeal to your prospect the most, and share a story that highlights those benefits!
