There’s not a more powerful social media tool to grow your network marketing business right now than messenger. But like all things… with great power comes great responsibility. If we want to get results on Facebook messenger, and use it to grow our businesses quickly, we must use it professionally. The strategies in this episode will show you how!

Network Marketing on Facebook | Be a Human First

If you want to grow your network marketing business on Facebook the most important thing you can remember is to be a human first and a marketer second. Think about the platform and how it is intended to be used: it’s a social network, and Facebook expects you to be social!

Reach out to 5 people every single day with the intention of saying hi! Send Happy Birthday messages, reach out to people who engage in your posts, and remember… don’t be weird! Imagine you’re walking up to this person at a party or in the supermarket — be friendly and start a conversation!

Network Marketing on Facebook | Ask Questions

In network marketing, the person who asks the most questions wins! Be genuine and get to know the person — imagine that you are holding an investigation, and your goal is to discover if you have a product, service or opportunity that this person may benefit from! Not everyone you meet on Facebook will have a need for your product or business… but you’ll find many who do when you ask the right questions!

Your goal should be to get to know someone as a PERSON… not as a potential sale or enrollment. Then, as you ask those questions…

Network Marketing on Facebook | Listen and Make Note

Do they love their job but hate that it takes time they could be spending with their kids? Do they love the idea of travel, but don’t have the time or money to go and do as much as they want? Are they entrepreneurial, but burned out on the time and financial investment traditional businesses require?

As you get to know someone through messenger, you’ll discover the answers to these questions and so many others. Listen and make note. Then, circle back to them a couple of days later and invite them to take a look! This process may feel awkward at first, but as you practice you’ll get better at asking the right questions and recognizing when you should circle back.

Network Marketing on Facebook | Group Messages for the Win

When someone agrees to take a look at your business you’ll want to plug them in to the tools and steps you have in place for showing them the opportunity. Whether this is a quick overview video, a longer presentation video, or even a Facebook group, at some point they will be ready to learn more.

After someone has viewed our business presentation videos, we immediatley plug them in to a group message with our upline. Group messages show social proof, team support, and allow you to learn as your upline does the talking. Most importantly, it shows your prospect that they aren’t in it alone, and won’t need to have all the answers in order to be successful.
