My Daily Social Media Messenger Routine to Help You Talk to Prospects and Grow Your Business Online Without Feeling Spammy

In this week’s episode I’m giving you my daily social media messenger routine so you can start using messenger to grow your business successfully.

When I got started in network marketing I spent a LOT of time on the phone. Often I would make 75-100 phone calls a day, inviting people to take a look at my business, following up on the overview or presentation, and enrolling people onto our team.
Thankfully, social media came around and now we can get results that are just as good (and often better!) without ever picking up the phone… IF we know how to use social media the right way.
The reality is, sending a bunch of copy/paste messages to the same people over and over again just won’t work to build a sustainable business. Not to mention, it’s not very professional and is a surefire way to scare people off and be labeled as “that person” on Facebook.
Inside the podcast I’m sharing my proven social media messenger routine that not only works, but is professional and duplicatable, meaning you and your team can benefit for years to come.
Step 1: Networking
I get it. Hanging out in groups and sending messages to random people without mentioning your business can feel like a time waster. However, inside the podcast I share why this is where the bulk of my business-building time goes each day, and why it is one of THE most important steps to help you grow your business successfully on social media.
Each week I meet at least 25 new friends on Facebook, and send 25 messages to people on my friends list just to say “Hi”. These messages aren’t about business, they’re about relationships… and when you get past that ulterior motive of feeling like you’re out to “get” something from every conversation this can become one of the most rewarding and effective pieces of your business building routine.

Step 2: Inviting
As important as it is to network, your business won’t grow if you don’t invite people to take a look at what you have to offer. Each week I invite 14 people to take a look at my business through messenger using my proven inviting scripts. This is the lifeblood of your business, and a step you must not skip if you want to create results quickly!
Step 3: Follow Up
After the initial invitation I send each person a quick overview video to pique their interest and determine if they want to learn more. I then follow up on that video and direct them to the next step, which is to view our presentation videos. These are the first two steps in my prospecting funnel, and by using tools (videos) to do the explaining I take myself out of the equation and make it simple for anyone to plug in and duplicate what I’m doing.
After the presentation I follow up again and add my prospects to a 3-way message with my upline. This strategy works incredibly well because, unlike 3-way calls, you aren’t having to coordinate a ton of schedules or try to get your prospect on the phone. My Mom and I do dozens of 3-way messages a week with our team, and have found them to be THE most effective way to get people past their objection, off the fence, and into the business.
Step 4: Enrollment or Ongoing Follow Up
After the 3-way message I send over a link to our enrollment kits and step-by-step enrollment instructions through messenger. This simplifies the process and allows my prospect to enroll at their convenience, whether I’m available to help them or not. For this reason we often have people enrolling in our business in the middle of the night, when we’re traveling, and during holidays or weekends when we’re not working our business at all!
If the prospect isn’t ready to join right away, I make sure to continue following up through messenger on a weekly basis to check in and keep them updated on any upcoming events, promotions, or product announcements. I encourage them to try the products as a customer while they wait to see if the business is a good fit for them, and even send over a link to our virtual catalog through messenger so they can become familiar with the products.
Bringing It All Together
Thanks to social media you no longer have to get on the phone or waste your time with meetings and parties to grow your business. It’s possible to have a truly ‘mobile’ business using messenger along with the right tools to help you share your business and products effectively.
When growing online it’s imperative that you have a step-by-step process in place for sharing your products and business with others, including a list of which videos to send and how often to follow up so your team can easily duplicate what you’re doing. Remove yourself from the equation by using videos and PDF documents anyone can share, without having to be a business or product expert, and help your team grow by being available for 3-way messages with their prospects.
