What Does It Take to Be a Network Marketing Leader?
Leadership isn’t a title or a dollar amount on your commission check.
It’s not walking across the stage, accepting an award or sipping margaritas on the beach during that free incentive trip.
Those things are the RESULTS of leadership.
But network marketing leaders are made in the quiet moments… long before they hit the big rank, make the big check, or grow a massive team.
Leadership is about who you are and what you do, not about what you have.

Leaders Show Up
The first quality all network marketing leaders have in common is they show up for themselves and for their team.
Leaders show up consistently whether they feel like it or not. They put in the work, master the mundane, even when life is busy and it means they have to get up early or stay up late.
Leaders understand the importance of taking small, seemingly insignificant actions consistently over time.
And leaders know that if they want to go up, they have to GROW… meaning they need to be investing their time daily in developing their mindset and skillset for success.
Leaders learn how to master their time — they don’t let their business operate at the mercy of distractions and discomforts.
So what does it mean to show up for yourself?
- Prioritizing your income producing activities (networking, prospecting, and follow up).
- Staying consistent in the activities that grow your business (not disappearing for days/weeks at a time due to distractions or busyness).
- Prioritizing your own personal and professional growth (taking time for your morning routine and continuing education).
And what does it mean to show up for your team?
- Be accessible! Make sure your team knows how to best get in touch with you on a regular basis.
- Stay in the know! Keep your eyes on what’s happening in your company and upline so you can pass information along to your team and keep them in the loop.
- Work with the working and love the rest. Prioritize time for group chats or three way calls for your team and your prospects, provide opportunities for your team to get group coaching and build relationships through team groups, chats and zoom calls. If your upline already provides these things, don’t reinvent the wheel, but DO plug in and be involved!
Leaders Take Action
Leaders don’t just learn… they IMPLEMENT what they lear!
And they don’t just tell their team what to do, they SHOW their team the way!
Your team will do what you do, not what you say. If you want to be a top leader at a top rank, start now!
Ask yourself — what do the top earners DO on a daily/weekly basis? Then start doing those things now. Act as if you are already there, and you will be there before you know it!
Leaders Show Others the Way
Leaders understand the importance of pouring into themselves so they can pour into others.
Ask any top earner why they continue to do what they do on a daily basis and you’ll hear a common theme: impact.
Leaders are so grateful to have arrived where they are, they are committed to helping as many others as possible get there too.
