To grow your business online you need a step-by-step system that’s easy to follow, and anyone can do. Duplication is the bread and butter of network marketing, and having a duplicatable process in place allows you to build a global organization that will work from anywhere.
That’s why I love the internet and social media so much — back in the days of coffee meetings and in home presentations, my business was duplicatable only to a point. I could not fly across the country to meet with someone in a coffee shop, or launch their business in their living room.
Thanks to social media, I can launch a brand new team member and help them grow their business whether they live next door, or in Switzerland. It doesn’t matter! The process is the same.

Grow Your Business Online | Meeting New People
One of the most common objections you hear both before and after someone joins a network marketing company is, ‘I don’t know enough people.’ — it’s imperative that you understand: the network you have is not the network you’re stuck with!
Your network determines your net worth — and thanks to social media, expanding your network in just a few minutes a day has never been easier!
My suggestion: Look for 3-5 Facebook groups or pages where you’ll enjoy hanging out. Think of your hobbies, what you like to do for fun, what life stage you’re in. What do you LOVE talking about? Find groups with other people like you! Then get in there and make posts, comment, have conversations and build relationships.

Grow Your Business Online | How to Attract New Prospects
In life you are either attracting people to you, or sending them running for the hills. And in network marketing it’s imperative that you have a system in place that attracts prospects to you rather than scaring them away.
Gone are the days when you can grow your business with spammy posts and copy/paste messages. They simply do not work.
If you want to grow your business online you need to have an attraction-based posting strategy that leads with value and makes people enjoy spending time on your social media channels.
Wondering what to talk about?
Use the 80/20 rule.
80% of your posts need to be value-driven — meant to inspire, entertain, inform or educate your audience. Lead with value. Make people laugh. Give them a sneak peek into your world. Educate them on the benefits of your niche without screaming about your products or business. Give them valuable information they can use whether they ever buy from you or not.
Then, 20% of the time, you can pique their curiosity with some promotional posts about your products or business. Don’t mention your product name or ask people to join your team, but instead share stories of success and encourage people to reach out to you if they’d like to learn more about what you’re sharing.
Grow Your Business Online | Rapport and Inviting
When it comes to building your network marketing business online, the money is in messenger. In other words — the money happens as a direct result of the one on one conversations you’re having behind the scenes — not from what you’re sharing in the newsfeed.
Every single day you need to be having conversations, building rapport and inviting people to take a look at your products and business.
Use the FORM acronym to quickly build rapport — asking people about their Family, Occupation, Recreation and Motivation.
Become an expert listener and then circle back to them a day or two later and professionally ask them if they’d like to take a look.
It may or may not be for you, but f I sent you a quick overview video, would you take a look at it? — this is a low-pressure way to invite anyone to learn more about your business or products. If they say yes, then you’re ready to move on to the next step:
Grow Your Business Online | Follow Up and Close
It’s amazing to me how many people respond with a blank stare when asked, “What steps do you have in place to follow up and close your prospects?”
Asking over and over if they have questions… if they’re ready to join yet… or trying to strong-arm someone into a closing call with your upline is not the way to follow up and close business.
Instead, it’s imperative that you have a set of step-by-step follow pieces in place that gradually provide your prospect with more information.
For us that process looks like this: Overview video, followed by a set of presentation videos, followed by a group message with my upline, and then sending over the enrollment steps. For ongoing follow up they receive email communication and are invited each month to a virtual business opportunity event.
Your process may look different, but you NEED to have a process. Something that’s simple and clear — that anyone from a growing leader to a brand new person can easily duplicate when working with their prospects. Success loves speed, and speed is born through clarity.
Grow Your Business Online | Bringing It All Together
Here’s the thing: without duplication your network marketing business is dead in the water… online or off. Duplication comes from having a step by step system that is easy to execute and easy to track.
I’m such a huge believer in tracking because I believe it shows us what we can improve on and where we’re doing well. It shows us the holes in our business… and tells us where to get better. You can’t improve what you don’t track, which is why I’ve put together a daily tracking chart to help you begin implementing the 4 steps I covered today.
