Some Will, Some Won’t, So What?
Network Marketing is a sorting game — and your job is to sort through the people you know and the people you meet until you find the people who are looking. If you have persuade or convince someone to take a look, you’ll have to persuade or convince them to get in. Then you’ll have to persuade and convince them to stay in. Then you’ll have to persuade and convince them to take action long enough and consistently enough to get results.
Sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it?
Instead, focus on sharing your business with 14 new people every single week. You’re looking for 3 who are willing to go through a presentation. THREE. That means 11 of those people can tell you no, and you’re still on the right track! Of those 3, expect only 1 to actually join you in business.
Understand these numbers and you will understand that some will, some won’t… and so what! NEXT! You’re looking for the people who are looking!
Share, Don’t Convince.
In network marketing we are in the sharing business, not the convincing business. The minute you switch from sharing to convincing you lose all your posture, energy and excitement. You immediately give the other person the upper hand!
So what do you do when you encounter someone who needs convincing? Convince them with your ACTIONS — in other words… move on! Do your thing. Stay in your lane. Do not allow their negativity to derail or delay you. Over time, as your results show up more and more, they may be interested in what you’re doing. Or maybe not. Either way, they WILL see that they were wrong… even if they never admit it.
Continue to sort through the numbers and you will find the people you get it and who are open to taking a look!
Surround Yourself With Support
Network Marketing can feel like a lonely business — especially when you’re first starting out. That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with others who get what you’re doing… either in person or online! Hang out with those who have already achieved what you’re looking to achieve. Connect with those who share your vision and are running for similar goals!
