How You Got Here

Most people come into network marketing for the first time because they were introduced to a product they loved by a friend or family member. Most have little to no business experience, much less any knowledge of what to look for in a network marketing company, or how to determine which of the MANY amazing companies out there is the best fit for them. 

There’s a good chance you’re one of those people, and part of you may be wondering: is this the best place for me? 

Just like most people don’t stay at their first straight-out-of-college job until retirement, most people don’t stay with the same network marketing company their entire career. Sometimes it can take a few for you to find the one that ‘clicks’.

That being said, the network marketing leaders who make the biggest income (and impact) eventually do settle on a place to call ‘home’. You’ll never get to the top of the mountain if you change course and try another one every year or so. 

Maybe you’re already ‘home’. If so, that’s amazing. 

But whether you are or not, I feel you’ll still get value from this episode as it will help you honestly evaluate where you are, what you’re looking for and will allow you to understand the benefits your company offers so you can share them with others. 

Can ‘Here’ Get You ‘There’? 

It was around the end of 2015 that my Mom and I realized it for the final time: the company we had called ‘home’ for over 10 years in our network marketing career simply wasn’t going to get us where we wanted to go. 

As much as we’d tried to make it fit… the square peg simply would not fit into a round hole. It was time to move on. 

The first thing you need discover for yourself is: what do you REALLY want out of a network marketing company, and can your current company take you there?

Things to Consider 

Listen to the full episode to hear my thoughts on each category.

Leadership: Are there people in your current company who are at the level of success you desire? And are there new people continuing to climb the ranks each month, or is your leadership become ‘stale’? 

Marketing: Does your company teach people to market their business in a way that’s congruent with the lifestyle you want to create? Are there people having success online? Are people building with meetings and home parties? And do you feel comfortable marketing your business in that same way? 

Products: Are your products consumable? Be sure to listen to the podcast episode to hear my hammer and nails story! 

System: Is there a simple system in place… a 1-2-3 system… that makes it easy for anyone to come in and create success quickly by simply plugging in to what the company/team/leadership has available for them to follow?

It’s Not Personal, It’s Business. 

By completing the exercises in the workbook, you’ll be able to easily decide what to say ‘yes’ to and what to say ‘no’ to in life and business.

Either something serves you and your longterm vision, or it doesn’t… plain and simple. Most people need their network marketing business to be successful in order to realize their personal vision. Just like a fast food restaurant wouldn’t stay open if it’s not meeting the owners goals and needs, you can choose to walk away knowing that the business simply doesn’t serve you in the way you need it to. It’s not personal, it’s business. 

Of course my hope is that you complete these exercises to discover you’re exactly where you need and want to be. There’s no better feeling than knowing you’re HOME, and that home will serve you and your family for years to come.
